LIFE DRAWING CLASSES
Our life drawing classes are held in the beautiful Round Tower on Broad Street, Old Portsmouth, an atmospheric, historic venue that’s perfect for drawing from life. Sessions usually take place on the first Friday of each calendar month. Doors open at 6.15pm, with drawing running from 6.30–8.30pm and a short break in the middle. We provide tea, coffee and biscuits to keep you fuelled, along with relaxed music and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.

These are untutored sessions, designed for both absolute beginners and experienced artists. Poses range from quick one minute warm ups through to longer twenty minute poses at the end of the evening. We work with a wide variety of excellent life models, ensuring a rich and varied drawing experience.
Charcoal and A2 drawing boards are supplied and A2 cartridge paper is available to purchase. You’re also very welcome to bring your own sketchbook, materials and easel. From time to time we run themed sessions with sets, themes and longer poses, so keep an eye out for these.
Please note there is a strict no photography policy and we ask everyone to be respectful of the model. Please see our 'Our Environment' page for details.
